Last night I was watching Sansui Colors Stardust Awards 2017. Everyone looked stunning; all the performances were spectacular. I love Bollywood all the glitz, glam, fashion and beauty full on inspiration. Below are my thoughts and how to achieve top trending hair and makeup looks by top Bollywood celebrities and would love to know your mind and opinions.

How to Get the Red Carpet Wet Hair Look in 4 Easy Steps

  1. Dump your hair with styling spray or mist, choose from the side part, centre part or all back. Using a flat iron straighten your hair till sleek.
  2. To achieve firm hold use Label.m Gel which is for medium-strong hold with ultimate shine. Apply directly to dry hair, working through from roots to ends with a comb.
  3. Using Label.m Smoothing Cream. Use on the sides for an extra sleek look. Gently comb the hair from the sides all the way back as the cream sets.
  4. Last but not least using medium hold hairspray and shine spray to finish your hair.
             (tip: use hairdryer to dry and set the hairspray )

How to Get the Red Carpet Semi-Smokey and Winged Eye Makeup Look in 4 Easy Steps

Now let’s talk about makeup, as you can see both actresses Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma have similar semi-smokey eye look and Aishwariya Rai and Jacqueline Fernandes wearing winged eyeliner look, these are two favourite looks carried by most of the actress on the red carpet  ( you can never go wrong with these styles)

  1. Smokey eyes: Use soft colours such as browns and bronzes Naked 2,  apply eyeshadow all over your eyelids,  next using a round blender brush blend the shade outwards to achieve the smokey look.
  2.  Apply the brown eyeshadow on your lower eye lid make sure it is close to your eyelashes and not on your waterline.
  3. Using black eyeliner, apply a thin line close to your eyelashes and softly smudge the line.
  4. Finish the look with they’re Real black mascara on upper and lower lashes.
  1. Winged Eyes: Use any colour you desire, my personal colours are champagne and rose gold, again apply all over your eyelids.
  2. Use matt or nude eyeshadow or use powder foundation under your eyes.
  3. Now the winged eye !!  apply a thick eyeliner on your eyelid keep it as flat and close as possible,  draw a straight diagonal line from the very tip, fill in the wing down to the middle of your upper lash.
  4. Finish the look with they’re Real black mascara ONLY on your upper lashes.

Get a Messy Bun

Sexy, messy buns are extremely hot right now, and so easy to pull off. Perfect for bad hair days, lazy days, and pretty much any day you want! They look great during the day, at night, at work, school, whatever you want! Here’s how to pull off a messy bun.

Start off by sweeping the front part of your hair to one side as to create a fuller crown area. Use your fingers along with a paddle brush to direct both sides to the back of the head.

Gather your hair into a loose pony and secure with an ouchless elastic (sides and back). The base of the pony should rest in the middle of the back of the head. Push your pony up slightly to create fullness at the top of your head. Add some hairspray.

Separate the pony into one inch sections, curling each section loosely. You don’t have to do this very carefully, as it is a messy bun, and you just want to get some waves. Holding the curler for about 3 seconds should be enough, depending on the hair thickness.

After each section is curled, use a bobby pin to secure the curl loosely against your scalp. When pinning the curls, make sure that you pin some at the top as to form an even and balanced shape.

Once you’ve finished pinning the curls, use your fingers to gently loosen up the curls, making it look messy. Finish off with a little bit of hair spray and you have a sexy, messy bun!

Nose Job

No, we’re not asking you to go under the knife here. It is all about contouring your nose to make it appear thinner than it is. If you have a glance at Priyanka’s nose carefully, you’ll notice her makeup artist makes sure he applies a brown contouring powder to contour it. Nose contouring is the best way to offer an illusion of a slimmer nose.

The Tip:

To contour your nose effectively takes practice and seriously good lighting. You need to take a shade slightly darker than your skin tone. You may try a medium-brown eye shadow. You need to start from the top of the sides of your nose and draw two straight lines down. This needs to be on either side towards the nostrils. Now blend downwards to form a right triangle. Keep blending until it looks natural.

Hair Care

Priyanka Chopra cuts her hair to a medium length, several inches past her shoulders. She likes to part her hair in the center or on the right side. The trick is to allow some short, wispy bangs falling on the left side of her forehead. You will see the star sporting these bangs often or sweeping them back with the rest of her hair. Her hairdresser thins her thick hair and gives her numerous choppy layers to keep it looking modern and chic. She prefers her hair trimmed every two months.
